What’s sophora japonica Extract

Sophora japonica, commonly called Chinese scholar tree or pagoda tree, or Huaimi in Chinese, is a native species in China and Japan. Its medicinal uses include the treatment of respiratory and kidney disorders. The bud is often used as medicinal herbs for anti-inflammatory and lowering blood pressure. The dry flower buds of S. japonica contain rich quercetin and rutin.
Quercetin has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has been used to relieve cough in Chinese clinical medicine, supplements to reduce blood pressure and blood fat, improve capillary resistance.   It can be used as a food preservative. Quercetin powder is also a great natural dye for clothes.
Rutin is another active substance in its flower buds and is used mainly as a hemostatic agent for the treatment of different hemorrhagic diseases.

Sophoricoside is an isoflavone glycoside found in the dry and mature fruit of Sophora japonica L., also known as Genistein, an herb used in traditional Chinese medicine, which has the ability to increase the strength of the capillaries and to regulate their permeability.
