Green tea originated in China, is made from the leaves from Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing.  Tea polyphenols is a general term for catechins, acetone, phenolic acids and anthocyanins and other than 30 kinds of phenolic substances, is an all-natural antioxidant food extracted from tea, with strong antioxidant capacity, non-toxic side effects and no odor. Tea polyphenols are characterized by their anti-oxidation, anti-radiation, anti-aging, hypolipidemic, hypoglycemic, bacteriostatic and enzyme inhibition functions.

L-Theanine is a free amino acid found naturally in green tea leaves or certain mushrooms. The content varies with the types and parts of tea. Generally, the dry tea accounts for 1-2% by weight. It has been linked to a variety of health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep quality, increased concentration and focus, and potential cancer-fighting properties. Theanine has also been shown to help protect the brain against damage caused by stroke or traumatic brain injury. Additionally, it can help improve cognitive performance in some individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
